2010 Jamaica Mission Trip

25 members of Clough United Methodist Church participated in a mission trip to My Father's House, a home for orphaned and abandoned children in Whitehouse Jamaica June 19 - 26.  While in Jamaica, the team ministered to the children at my Father's House; visited local schools, a local hospital, and a nursing home; distributed compasses to fishermen in the area; gave a braille Bible to a young blind girl; build bunk beds for a family; and provided a Vacation Bible School for the children of Gully Bank.  see photos

2010 Jamaica Mission Team

25 members of Clough United Methodist Church were commissioned for their trip to Whitehouse, Jamaica June 19 - 26 by Jim Koch of Kingdom Builders Ministries.  The church sends a mission team to My Fathers House, a home for orphaned and abandonned Jamaican children, every 2 years.  My Fathers House, a part of KBM, is run by Jim and Penie Koch, former residents of Anderson Township.  see photos

2010 Graduation Sunday

Clough UMC continued its tradition of recognizing high school and college graduates at the end of the school year.  Nine Beatrice Jackson Memorial Scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year were also awarded to students either entering college or continuing their college careers.  see photos 

2010 Dog Wash

Members of the Clough UMC Jamaica Mission Team washed dogs of all sizes and breeds June 12 to raise funds for their trip to Jamaica June 19 - 26.  Canine customers received free treats and bandanas.  Over 60 dogs were washed during this event. see photos

May 2010 Motorcycle Blessing

Every May Clough UMC hosts a Motorcycle Blessing.  Pastor Kollmann prays with each rider for a safe and enjoyable riding season and blesses all.  The blessing is preceded by a free cookout and followed by a ride through the community led by our pastor, Jonathan Kollmann. see photos

April 2010 Easter Week Events

Easter Events at Clough UMC included the Easter Eggstravaganza, an inspirational Palm Sunday worship service, the Easter musical "It All Happened in the City" performance by our children's choir, a solemn Good Friday worship service, breakfast on Easter morning provided by the men of Clough, and a fantastic celebration of the resurrection at the Easter morning worship service.  see photos

April 2010 Carry the Cross

From noon on Good Friday until noon the following day, the youth groups from Mt. Moriah UMC, Summerside UMC, Cherry Grove UMC, and Clough UMC participated in an emotional 24-hour carry the cross activity.  Our youth handed the midnight until six AM shift. see photos

April 2010 Churches 4 Change

Clough UMC participated with Summerside UMC, Mt. Moriah UMC, and Cherry Grove UMC in Churches 4 Change during the Lenten season.  All churches worked through the sermon and small group series "24 Hours That Changed the World", raised funds for Elberon UMC's Bibles and Breakfast program, worshipped together at a noon Good Friday service, and joined Youth Groups together for a 24-hour Carry the Cross activity. April 2010 Easter Eggstravaganza

Clough UMC hosts an annual Easter Eggstravaganza featuring Clough Clowns, photos with the Easter Bunny, dozens of prizes, thousands of eggs to find, and more- all for free!  In 2010 we were fortunate to host 256 children. see photos

On a pleasant Sunday evening, Clough UMC's Children's Choir performed the lively Easter musical, "It All Happened in the City."  see photos

February 2010 Girl Scout Day

Girl Scout/Brownie Day is an annual event at Clough UMC.  The scouts serve the congregation in different ways, such as presenting the colors and collecting the offering. see photos

February 2010 Valentine's Dinner

The Clough UMC Youth Group hosts a Valentine's Dinner every year.  The event is a major fundraiser for the youth, who collect items for silent auction baskets, prepare the meal, and work as servers.  This year's event, which will help youth members participate in the Jamaican mission trip this summer, included live music and dancing. see photos

February 2010 Weekend to Remember with Jerry Lucas

Clough UMC was blessed to host a "Weekend to Remember" featuring Basketball Hall of Famer Jerry Lucas.  Mr. Lucas, known as Dr. Memory, travels the nation teaching people his automatic learning system and sharing the testimony of his life in Christ. see photos

Every December, Clough UMC welcomes the community to experience a connection to Christ's birth by creating a live nativity in the barn on our church property.  see photos

December 2009 Visit from Santa

On the Sunday before Christmas, Santa showed up to help Pastor Johnathan with the Children's Message and stayed after the service to visit with children of all ages. see photos

December 2009 Carol Fest

Each December Clough UMC hosts a community gathering of fellowship, refreshments, and traditional Christmas carols.  We joyfully sing together and are entertained by a few church and school choirs. see photos

August 2009 Backpack Blessing

Pastor Jonathan Kollmann prayed for blessings to pour down upon our children and their backpacks, as well as teachers and other school workers, the Sunday before school started. see photos

August 2009 Habitat for Humanity

Members of Clough UMC raised funds and participated in building a new house in Madisonville with the Habitat for Humanity program. see photos

Our youth group travelled to Copperhill, Tennessee, to participate in Flight School 2009.  Their home repair experiences led to the youth developing the Help is On the Way (HOW) Project. see photos
