City Gospel Mission

City Gospel Mission – Clough United Methodist Church has long supported City Gospel Mission in its ministry to the needy in the Over-the-Rhine area by serving meals in the mission’s dining room throughout the year and by helping provide food during the Thanksgiving holiday season.  Members of the church family bring fresh produce and canned goods to decorate the church’s altar the Sunday before Thanksgiving every year.  Once the service is over, the food is taken to the City Gospel Mission kitchen to be used in preparing a special Thanksgiving meal.

Inter Parish Ministries

Inter Parish Ministries – Clough is one of many area churches supporting the IPM ministry in Newtown.  Members bring in items for the food bank the first Sunday of every month and donate school supplies for the annual back-to-school drive in the fall.  During the Christmas season, the church provides Christmas presents for needy families through the IPM program.

Stephen Ministries

Stephen Ministry – Stephen ministers are trained laypeople who come alongside someone who needs the support of a friend during a difficult time such as the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, the diagnosis of a dreaded disease – the list of circumstances goes on and on.  This one-on-one relationship between care giver and care receiver is strictly confidential and lasts for as long as is needed, varying from a few weeks to years.  Stephen Ministry is new to Clough and leaders David and Jemma Tennant and Jennifer Ehlers will begin implementing the program fall 2009.

Mount Washington Care Center

Mount Washington Care Center – A group from Clough United Methodist visits MWCC the third Saturday of every month to play bingo and visit with the residents of the nursing home.  The residents look forward to the special prizes Clough brings each month.  Another church member and her dog Max also visit MWCC monthly.  Max is definitely a favorite at the Care Center with both residents and staff.

YMCA PreSchool

Clough welcomes the YMCA Preschool to our facilities!  For more information about the program, contact Michelle Adams at 231-2804.
