What to Expect

If you are a first time visitor at Clough United Methodist Church you can expect

• To be greeted with smiles and a handshake.  We are glad you have come to worship with us!
• To feel comfortable about the way you are dressed.   We dress from extremely casual to Sunday best.
• To smell the aroma of good coffee coming from our café.  We like to grab a cup of coffee before the service, take it into the service, and visit with friends over a cup after the service.
• To find a loving caregiver in the nursery to watch over little ones.  We provide nursery care for children two and under during services.
• To hear a special message, Children’s Moments, during the service for children pre-K thru 6th graders.  We also provide a Children’s Church for this age group during the sermon time.
• To see a group of excited teens sitting in the first few pews.  We have a very active Youth Group for junior and senior high students at Clough.  They are an important part of our church family.
• To find someone you can relate to.  We are blessed with a diverse family at Clough – young, old, married, divorced, widowed, single…
• To experience God in a personal way through the worship, prayers and message.  We worship in an informal but reverent manner.  Our service is a blend of contemporary praise and traditional hymns with upbeat accompaniments.
• To worship God in various ways – by clapping and singing as the Praise Band leads worship or by sitting in quiet moments of reflection and prayer.
• To hear a message that speaks to the heart and deals with real issues in your life.  Pastor Kollmann is passionate about his love for the Lord and his passion and enthusiasm are contagious!
• To find people who are not perfect but who love God, care for one other, and want to reach out to those outside the church doors.

Clough United Methodist Church is aptly described in this quote by Henry W. Beecher –

“The church is not a gallery for the exhibition of eminent Christians but a school for the education of imperfect ones, a nursery for the care of weak ones, a hospital for the healing of those who need assiduous care.”
